Under the
direction of Dancing Master Scot Monach and Dancing Mistress
Jennifer Reiner, this troupe of twenty-odd dancers, musicians and
pipers ranges in ages from thirteen to forty five and includes
students and professionals of diverse disciplines and backgrounds
united by their love of Scottish music and dance.
Co-directors Scott Monach and Jennifer Reiner have
begun theirapprenticeships as teachers for the Royal Scottish
Country Dance Association. Pipers James MacNaughton was the Pipe
Major of the Phoenix Scottish Pipe and Drum Band and is currently
Pipe Sargent to the Scottish Rifles: the Pipes and Drums of the
Tempe Police. Fiddler Micah Reinhold is a classically trained
violinist whose style of fire and grace is perfect for reels, jigs,
and strathspeys. This troupe also fields three young Highland
dancers who are competing medalists at regional Highland games.
Almost any member of this band can speak, at some
length, about Scottish traditions, dance and music, making Dancing
in the Isles an entertaining addition for school and library
presentations.
So if you seek a unique, unforgettable experience for
festival, banquet, wedding, or other programs, may I suggest Dancing
in the Isles?
